Spanish duo Jrace & Albert White release a new single, “Wrong Ones”, on Viper Recordings this Friday, 8 August. Vocals come from Madishu, a singer and producer based in Vienna. The duo announced it on their Instagram and Viper confirmed it in the comments.
Viper is not new territory for the Madrid pair. In March they put out their debut EP “TRACES” (VPR393) with three tracks: “Still Hear You”, “Little Ghost” and “Don’t Hide” with LUÍV. Before that they appeared on two editions of the label’s Future Fire compilation. Volume seven (VPR369) carried “Horizon”, which also came out via UKF, and volume eight has “Can’t Stop”. Outside Viper they have released on DnB Allstars, Bassrush, Riot Records and Exert.
Madishu has over 24 million streams and credits with Atlantic Records, LoudKult, Trap Nation and UKF. In drum and bass she is best known for “We’re on Fire” with Grafix, and she also featured on “Ready To Lose” by Millbrook and Blooom on High Tea Music. She produces as well as sings, still a rarity in the genre.
“Wrong Ones” has been in promo since at least mid July, when Dip Vertigo played it on his Bassdrive show. The duo tag it as liquid, which lines up with the direction they took on “TRACES”.
Viper has not published a catalogue number yet. The most recent listing on the label site is VPR403 (Smooth, “Where We Began / Earthquake”), so “Wrong Ones” will land somewhere above that.
