Rua Tui is the Bristol-based drum & bass duo of Aidan and Angus, blending tongue-in-cheek energy with explosive festival-ready productions. Named after the New Zealand tūī bird, their sound is a wild collage of original dubs, playful samples, and relentless basslines — perfect for tearing up dancefloors from Balter to Boomtown.

Since 2020, they’ve built an international presence through self-releases on their label Swinging Jaw Records, as well as signings with respected imprints like Grid Recordings, Jungle Cakes, 19K, and Chilli Tribe Records. They’ve collaborated with artists including Dr Meaker, Dread MC, and Dope Ammo, and have delivered remixes and reworks that span soulful throwbacks to gnarly rave stompers.

2025 saw Rua Tui gain momentum with releases like the rework of “Lighters Up” (ft. Kathika) and a standout remix release on Gorilla Warfare. As they enter 2026, the duo shows no signs of slowing down, with a packed schedule including a remix on Nemesis Recordings, a forthcoming Soulvent Records collab, and two fresh free download drops.

With upcoming collaborations featuring Father Funk, Zimma, Mr Fitz, and MCs like Hypeman Sage, Apprentice, and Trafic MC, Rua Tui are cementing their place as one of the most exciting new names in the scene. Their mega-vocalist track with Maddy V, Kathika, MARIA, and Abi Nyxx (Dutty Moonshine Big Band) is set to be a future anthem.

Recently signed to DNBTV for European bookings, Rua Tui now joins a roster alongside AKOV, Mean Teeth, Zombie Cats and others — ready to bring their high-octane sound across the continent.
